first off, how many days a week do you work?
- 7 days.

how do you find time to ride when you work 7 days a week?
- i have a clone.

how many pedal cranks do you think you've taken since you started riding a bike?
- one too many

are there more known spots or unknown spots?
- both

what's the next thing you're building in your bike shop?
- a skateboard

(starts putting grip tape on a fresh deck for a customer)

- Animal forever

if you could go back to any year in you're riding career which would it be?
- 2000, when I was 17 years old

why?
- you heal faster, there are not as many responsibilities, mad joints; i don't know, it was different back then.

do you prefer morning missions, afternoon missions, or late night missions?
- if i can do all of those in one day....that would be awesome.....i never get a chance to do them all.

why three pegs back in the day, and now four?
- cause back in the day when i used to run 4 pegs i would always clip my right heel (on the peg). for some strange reason i would always clip that peg and then i ummm, i would always loop out and land on my tail bone. so i started running 3 pegs. and then, while i was filming for the Skavenger video i had this idea for a trick that somebody should try, but no one ever tried it, so i was like alright fuck it, ill try it. so I put the peg on, and i learned it.

i think i know what trick it was. Feeble to 180 hop over at FDR?
- You are correct sir. but, you win nothing.

if you had the choice to pick any country to go ride that you haven't been to before?
- i wouldn't know cause i've never been there. Oh, wait, Russia! Nah, fuck that. Japan!

would you go to Russia with Will Taubin?
- Oh hell yeah, Mother Russia! I'd definitely go with Taubin.

(While scrapping the edges of the skateboard with an allen key)

how'd you meet Wormz and Edwin?
- i met Wormz because i heard stories of this video i wanted to see and he owned it. there was this series of kids that rode in our school and there were connections between all of us...you know cause back then when people rode, you're connected to riding, so i figured i could get to wormz to see this video. it was a props issue with a dave mirra interview in there. no wait it was the one with the gonz interview. i wanted to see that real bad.

so you knew wormz had it?
- yeah, that was the word on the street, so i tracked him down.

and edwin?
- i met edwin at an easter ride the following year.

what's your best memory of riding bmx with wormz?
- oh! the day when he hopped the fence for that Zoo York ad. i tried to film it and my battery died. it was the best. yo, seriously........he flipped over. he front nose cased it. if i would've had that clip man....that shit was soo hot.

how much would you have paid to see wormz beat up the crip that stole his bike?
- i would've loved to see footage of that! I would've paid the amount he lost at the ATM, whatever it had been, when he had to run out to chase the dude that took his bike.

who invented the smith to feeble?
- i have no idea.

(while bolting trucks on the board)

what happened with you and Redline?
- well, word is that they didn't have enough money in the budget to pay me, but they didn't tell me that until after a few weeks of making that decision without even letting me know that they couldn't pay me. they still wanted me to represent the company and ride for it as if i was still getting paid....and ummmm....pretty much....they wanted me to be a slave....and uhhhh....i'm no slave....i'm a slave to myself....

the most crucial trick in bmx is?
- a bunny hop

why?
- cause without the bunny hop you got nothing.

- curb-cut

ever have a bike stolen?
- too many

is there anybody right now that you think is pushing bmx?
- on all levels?

- what should really happen is Nigel should have a contest with the winner of that contest....and that would be the REAL contest
